Can all churches/denominations participate in this program?
The purpose of Community Chaplains of America is to work interculturally and across faith groups. We will encourage all chaplains to offer spiritual caregiving to people of all faiths, but a Community Chaplain and the commissioning church must both agree with and adhere to our Statement of Faith.
Church pastors will have access to sermon outlines, presentations and all other Community Chaplains of America products listed on this web site. In many instances, the pastor and/or the church will want to have a least one Community Chaplain Empowerment Kit for use and reference.
Can a pastor submit the name(s) of candidates for this program?
Each interested person should be encouraged to come to this web site, submit their profile and proceed with their personal order of an Community Chaplain Empowerment Kit. The pastor’s role will be to commission each person once they have completed their study of the kit materials. However, for larger churches or those who wish to use the training materials in a group study, please contact Customer Service for further options.
How should a pastor further encourage the use of the kit materials within the church?
We foresee many opportunities for the use of the Community Chaplain Empowerment Kit materials and other individual items in adult Bible studies, cell groups and discipleship classes. Watch this web site for additional information on new kits with study guides available for group learning.
