WAKE FOREST, N.C., Apr. 28, 2008 - COMMUNITY CHAPLAINS AT NASCAR SPRINT CUP RACE AT TALLADEGA
Did you watch the recently televised Nascar Sprint Cup run at Talladega Speedway? If you happened to catch this event, you saw one of our trained community chaplains lead the invocation, closing with the name of Jesus, on national TV. There were at least seven other chaplains armed with the Community Chaplains of America training serving at the Speedway that afternoon as well. These chaplains were trained at a seminar held at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in January of this year. Raceway chaplains from tracks, large and small, came together for a time to strengthen their caregiving skills. Take time to lift them up during this busy time of the racing season as they serve others.
The vision of Community Chaplains of America is to have thousands of chaplains serving millions of people by 2012.
